After Rishabh Pant was ruled out due to injury, KL Rahul was seen playing as a wicket-keeper batsman in this match for India.

 

While disclosing after the match, he said that the team management had asked him to be ready for wicketkeeping and batting in the middle order. After this statement Rahul, the question is arising that Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant, and Ishaan Kishan will not be given chances now.

 

What will happen to Sanju, Rishabh, and Kishan?

In fact, in the first ODI match, the Indian team's vice-captain KL Rahul was seen playing as a wicket-keeper batsman. At the same time, he said after the match that 'the team management had asked me to be ready for wicketkeeping and batting in the middle order'. Rahul also played a brilliant half-century in this match. At the same time, his statement after the match has raised the question of whether the doors of white-ball cricket are now closed for Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant, and Ishaan Kishan.

 

After the match, KL Rahul said that 'we have not played ODIs for more than 8-9 months. But if you look at 2020-21, I have kept wickets and also batted at numbers four and five. The team has asked me to play this role, I am ready for it in white ball format. On the other hand, about Pant, Rahul said that 'to be honest about Pant, I came to know only today that he is going to be released from the series. The medical team can answer the questions related to it in a better way.
