Supremo Mamata Banerjee, the party that won the biggest win for the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, is going to become the chief minister for the third time. According to the constitution, Mamata Banerjee can become the Chief Minister despite not being a member of the Legislative Assembly, but she will have to be elected within six months. This speculation was further intensified after the defeat of Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.
The Trinamool Congress has created history by registering a resounding victory in the West Bengal assembly elections and has retained the power of the state for the third consecutive time.
