President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the Parliament on Monday ahead of the commencement of the budget session. The budget session began with the President's address. In his address, the President mentioned women empowerment, Covid vaccination, Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat health infrastructure, Digital India, and farmers. Let us give you information about the big things about the President's address in 10 points.

1. President Ram Nath Kovind said that my government is working with determination for the security of the country. Due to the policies of the government, the country's self-reliance in the defense sector, especially in defense production, is increasing continuously. The contract has been signed with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the manufacture of 83 LCA Tejas fighter aircraft. The Government has taken important steps to convert the Ordnance Factories into 7 Defense PSUs.

2. The government is continuously working to empower the rural economy and the farmers of the country. One lakh eighty thousand crore rupees have been given to more than 11 crore farmer families through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. With this investment, big changes are visible in the agriculture sector today. The country's agricultural exports have also increased to a record level due to the efforts of the government. Agriculture exports registered a growth of more than 25 percent in the year 2020-21. This export has reached around Rs 3 lakh crore.

3. So far more than two crore pucca houses have been provided to the poor. Under the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin', one crore seventeen lakh houses have been approved in the last three years at a cost of about 1.5 lakh crore rupees.

4. I would also appreciate the vision of the government for the success of the country's UPI platform in the context of Digital India and the growing spread of the digital economy. In December 2021, more than Rs 8 lakh crore transactions have happened in the country through UPI.

5 The proof of India's capability in the fight against Covid-19 has been seen in the vaccination program. We have crossed the record of administering more than 150 crore vaccine doses in less than a year. Today we are one of the leading countries providing the highest vaccine doses in the whole world. The President said that in this great crisis of Corona, we have seen the problem of food shortage and hunger in big countries, but my sensitive government made every effort that no poor should go hungry in this biggest crisis of 100 years.

6- The President said that the Prime Minister's Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission started by the government for 64 thousand crores is a commendable example. This will not only help in meeting the present health needs but also prepare the country for the coming crises. Due to the sensitive policies of my government, health services are now easily accessible to the common man in the country. More than 80 thousand health and wellness centers and crores of Ayushman Bharat cards have helped the poor in their treatment.

7- Due to the continuous efforts of the government, India has once again become one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Foreign investment of $48 billion in the first 7 months of this fiscal year is proof that international investors are confident about India's growth.

8- India is one of the countries that have the cheapest internet and mobile phones. We are also working on developing 5G. Our PLI scheme on Semiconductor will further boost our startup ecosystem. Today India has emerged as the second-largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world.

9 The number of women police personnel in various police forces has more than doubled as compared to 2014 due to policy decisions and incentives of my government. Women empowerment is one of the top priorities of my government. Giving equal status to sons and daughters, my Government has also introduced a bill in Parliament to raise the minimum age for marriage for women from 18 years to 21 years at par with men.

10- The government has started to free society from this evil practice by declaring triple talaq as a legal offense. Restrictions on Muslim women to perform Hajj only with Mehram have also been removed.
