G20 Summit 2023: Xi Jinping will not attend the G20 summit, this leader will represent China

G20 Summit: Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend the G20 Summit to be held in India (G20 Summit in New Delhi). In his place, Prime Minister Li Qiang will come to India to attend the conference. The Chinese Foreign Ministry gave this information on Monday.

 

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning issued a brief statement saying that PM Li Qiang will not attend the 18th G-20 summit to be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. However, Mao did not give any reason for Xi Jinping not coming to India to attend the conference.

 

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had also expressed his inability to visit India. He had talked about this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Significantly, the G-20 summit will be held in India on September 9 and 10. It will be organized at Bharat Mandapam located in Pragati Maidan, Delhi.

 

What is G20?

The countries in the G20 represent approximately 85 percent of global GDP, more than 75 percent of global trade, and nearly two-thirds of the world population. This group includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and the European Union.
