Gyanvapi Case: Worship will continue in Vyas basement, big decision of Allahabad HC court

The hearing of the case filed on 15 October 1991 by Pandit Somnath Vyas, Dr. Ramrang Sharma, and others on behalf of self-styled Vishveshwar Jyotirlinga demanding the construction of a new temple in Gyanvapi and granting the right to worship to Hindus, was held in the court of the District Judge. The application filed demanding transfer was heard on Monday. Allahabad HC court has decided that worship will continue in Vyas basement.

Advocate Harishankar Pandey's demand to file a case against SP president Akhilesh Yadav, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, and others for alleging littering in the water tank (Wujukhana) located at Gyanvapi and hurting the sentiments of Hindus by making statements on the Shivalinga found there. The hearing was held in the court of ADJ Seventh on the case filed by Mukhtar Ahmed, a resident of Lohta and others, demanding permission for Urs, Chadar, Gagar, and other religious functions while referring to the graves in Gyanvapi.

 

In the Gyanvapi case, the Hindu side's lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain said that today the Allahabad High Court has rejected both the petitions of Anjuman Arrangements, which means that the puja which was going on will continue in the same manner. If they go to the Supreme Court, we will also present our views in the Supreme Court."

On the High Court's decision in the Gyanvapi case, the former plaintiff in the Ayodhya land dispute case Iqbal Ansari said that no matter whose government it is, the law is the same for everyone. Everyone should respect the court's decision.
