MP Prajjwal Revanna, accused in the harassment case, has finally been arrested. The lawyer representing the SIT in the case told Jan Pratinidhi Adalat that Prajjwal had been arrested, so the anticipatory bail petition had no meaning. Prajjwal had filed three anticipatory bail petitions in connection with a total of three cases. Today, Prajjwal will be taken for medical examination.
Request not to conduct media trial
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) reached the CID office in Bangalore this morning. He will be questioned at the CID office. If SIT sources are to be believed, his virility test can also be conducted. Prajjwal's lawyer, Arun said that he has come forward to cooperate in the investigation. He has requested the media not to conduct a media trial against him. He has been arrested in the Holenarasipura case.
Notice to Prajjwal's mother also
Apart from this, the SIT has also issued a notice to Prajjwal's mother Bhavani Revanna for questioning. The SIT has asked him to appear at his house in Holenarasipur on June 1. Today, the special court will hear the petition of Prajwal and his mother. His mother has sought anticipatory bail in the alleged kidnapping case. Although Bhavani is not an accused in this case, the SIT reportedly wants to investigate his role. Prajwal's father MLA HD Revanna was arrested in the same case. He was later released on bail.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said that Prajwal Revanna came from Germany at 12.50 pm last night. He has been arrested. According to the law, the authorities will take action. I came from Shimoga yesterday. I have not yet spoken to the officials. We have already made it clear that the victims should tell their problems to the SIT.
Arrested late at night
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Prajwal late at night at Kempegowda International Airport as soon as he reached Bangalore airport from Munich, Germany. According to the information, after Prajwal returned to Bengaluru a month later on 31 May, Central Industrial Security Force officials took him into custody. They later handed him over to the SIT after completing the formalities. After the arrest, the SIT took Prajwal Revanna to the CID office in Bengaluru. From here, Revanna will be taken for a medical examination. At the same time, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) took two suitcases from the Bengaluru airport.
