Heavy snowfall on mountains, prepare to avoid cold, how will be the weather in Delhi NCR

The hill states of North India received heavy snowfall on Monday. Major highways were closed in Jammu and Kashmir due to heavy snowfall and rain overnight since Sunday evening. This cut off contact with the villages in the high-altitude areas. There is a lot of snow in the high-altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department says that due to this the weather will change in the plains as well. The department has predicted light rain at one or two places in Uttarakhand, Punjab, North Rajasthan, and Haryana. The cold has started knocking in the areas of Delhi NCR too. Cold weather is forecast in Delhi NCR.

 

According to the report of Skymet Weather, a private weather forecasting agency, there is a possibility of snow at some places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. Not only this, light rain can be seen at one or two places in the neighboring states of Delhi like Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana. The effect of Western Disturbance is being seen over North India for the last few days. It is expected to remain in effect till Tuesday. Due to this, there is a forecast of cloudy sky in some areas of Delhi NCR. a

 

The effect of snowfall on the Mauman mountains is also clearly visible in the areas of Delhi NCR. Meteorologists say that cold winds from the hill states will move towards Delhi NCR. Due to this, the cold will increase in the areas of Delhi NCR. However, the people of Delhi are not seeing any signs of big relief from pollution. Delhi NCR witnessed wind speeds of 18 to 20 mph on Sunday but the AQI was recorded in the very poor category. Experts say that this is being seen due to incidents of stubble burning.

 

According to the report of the news agency ANI, heavy snowfall was seen in the high-altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. Baramulla's ski resort Gulmarg received six inches of snow, while Gurez and Machil received over 12 inches of snow. Due to heavy snowfall, remote villages in high altitude areas have been cut off from the district headquarters. The Meteorological Department said that there will be a partly cloudy sky in the state from Tuesday to Friday. There is a chance of light to moderate rain or snow on Saturday. However, there is no chance of any major snowfall till November 20.
