The threat of cyclone 'Tau Te' from the Arabian Sea remains on 7 states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The storm may hit the Porbandar coast of Gujarat by 3 pm today. After this, the storm will pass between Porbandar and Mahuva (Bhavnagar) between 3 pm and 6 pm. During this time its speed can be up to 175 kilometers per hour.
After 23 years, such a terrible storm is coming in Gujarat. Earlier, on June 9, 1998, there was such a terrible storm in Kandla of Kutch district. In this, 1173 people died and 1774 people went missing. Around 1.5 lakh people are being shifted from 655 villages in the coastal districts of Gujarat. Thousands of houses have been evacuated from the west coast.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Director General (DG) Mrityunjay Mohapatra has told that 17 districts of the state have been kept on alert. More than 100 teams of NDRF are deployed in 7 states. Gujarat has a maximum number of 50 teams. Several coastal districts including Mumbai in Maharashtra have had to stop vaccination due to the storm. There are alerts here in many cities including Mumbai.

The Air Force has asked for 16 transport aircraft and 18 helicopters to be kept ready. Seeing the danger of the storm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday, Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting on Sunday and took stock of the preparations.
11 people died in four states
