The Taliban have completely cleared the way for their power by capturing Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. After two decades, the Taliban had already started the campaign to get power, but it has got success in the last four months. The speed with which the Taliban took control of Afghanistan's areas one after the other between April and August is astonishing.

At present, there is an atmosphere of chaos in Kabul after the capture of the Taliban. There is a huge crowd of people leaving the country at Kabul Airport. The deteriorating situation here can be gauged from the fact that bullets have been fired to control the uncontrollable crowd, in which some people are reported to have died. Since the entry of the Taliban, people are competing to leave the country to save their lives.

How did the Taliban grow ahead?

April 14, 2021: US President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal of his army before September 11. The withdrawal started on May 1. With this, America had also announced to end its longest war.

May 4, 2021: Taliban attacks Afghan forces in six other provinces including southern Helmand.

May 11, 2021: Taliban captures Nerakh district on the outskirts of Kabul.

7 June 2021: Senior government officials say fighting has intensified and 150 Afghan soldiers have been killed in the last 24 hours. Fighting is getting fierce in 26 out of 34 provinces of the country.

June 22, 2021: Taliban militants intensify attacks in northern Afghanistan from their stronghold south. The UN diplomat in Afghanistan said the Taliban had captured more than 50 of the 370 districts.

July 2, 2021: The US military evacuates its main military base at Bagram Air Base. With the evacuation of this military base located near Kabul, America's direct involvement ended.

July 5, 2021: The Taliban tells the Afghan government to give a written peace offer by August.

July 21, 2021: Senior US general told that Taliban militants have captured almost half of the country's districts.

July 25, 2021: The US reiterates its commitment to continue aid to Afghanistan in the coming weeks and says it will intensify airstrikes to counter the Taliban.

July 26, 2021: The United Nations said about 2,400 civilians were killed or injured between May and June. This is the largest number of those months since 2009.

August 6, 2021: Zaranj, located in the south of the country, becomes the first provincial capital captured by the Taliban in years. After this, the Taliban continued to occupy many provincial capitals, including Kunduz located in the north.

August 13, 2021: Taliban captures four provincial capitals including Kandahar. Major commander Muhammad Ismail Khan, who fought against the Taliban, was taken prisoner while capturing Herat.

August 14, 2021: After a mild skirmish, the Taliban captured the main city of Mazar-e-Sharif in the north and Pul-e-Alam, just 70 km from Kabul. America sent more troops for the safe return of its citizens from Kabul. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said he was talking to local and international allies to take the next step.

15 August 2021: Without a fight, the Taliban enter the capital, Kabul, capturing the major city of Jalalabad.

Let us also tell you here that the situation in Afghanistan as seen today was outlined by former US President Donald Trump. He had not only announced the withdrawal of his army from here but also agreed with the Taliban. Current President Joe Biden has done the work of taking this agreement forward. After forming his government, he had announced that by September 2021, US and NATO forces would withdraw from here.

Since this announcement, in May 2021, the Taliban intensified attacks in Afghanistan and went on snatching one province after another from the Afghan government. During this, the Afghan Air Force and the US also carried out several attacks on the Taliban, in which a large number of Taliban terrorists were killed. But in the end, the Taliban has been successful in capturing Afghanistan.
