India has avenged the terrorist attack in Pahalgam by carrying out air strikes at 9 places in Pakistan. Two women officers increased the pride of the country

The eyes of the whole country and the whole world were on Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Sofia Qureshi's father in Vadodara, Gujarat, far away from Delhi, was also overjoyed to see this scene.

 

Colonel Sofia Qureshi's father, Taj Mohammad, spoke to the news agency ANI and shared some things related to Sofia Qureshi's life. Expressing pride in Colonel Sofia Qureshi, he said that he is very proud of what his daughter has done for the country.

 

Talking about himself, Taj Mohammad said that he also fought during the Bangladesh Liberation War. He has so much patriotism in him that he said that if given a chance now, he would go to Pakistan and finish them off. He said that Pakistan is not a country worth living in in the world.

 

'First of all, we are Indians, then anything else'

 

Colonel Sofia Qureshi's father, Taj Mohammad, said that his father and his grandfather were also in the army, and now it has become a tradition of his family to join the army. He said that we only think about the country, and our thinking is 'Vayam Rashtrae Jagrayam'. We are Indians first, then anything else.

 

Colonel Sophia Qureshi once wanted to become a professor.

 

Sophia Qureshi once dreamed of becoming a professor and was about to complete her PhD. But the spirit of patriotism inspired her to join the army and wear the army uniform. After this she decided to join the Indian Army.

 

Colonel Sophia Qureshi's brother Sanjay Qureshi told that both his grandfather and father have been in the Indian Army and now his sister Sophia Qureshi is carrying forward this tradition. Sophia Qureshi did BSc and MSc in Biochemistry from MS University, Vadodara and also started teaching there as an assistant lecturer.

 

Sophia's niece Zara wants to join the army like her aunt.

 

Sanjay Qureshi told that Sophia was also doing PhD and meanwhile she was selected in the army through Short Service Commission (SSC), so she left studies and career and chose the path of serving the country.

 

Sanjay says that now Sophia is inspiring the next generation as well. Sanjay said that his daughter Zara is also dreaming of joining the army like her aunt, and from now on, she says that she wants to join the army.

 

How did she make her mark?

 

According to the Gujarat government, Colonel Sofia did her masters in 1997 and joined the Army's Signal Corps. In 2016, she created history by commanding the Indian military contingent in a multinational military exercise called 'Force 18'. She became the first woman officer to do so. In 2006, she was also deployed in the Congo under the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission.
