The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Kerala for the next five days.
The Meteorological Department has told in a series of tweets how the weather is going to be in the coming days. According to IMD, moderate to heavy rain and lightning are likely over Tamil Nadu, Puchuderry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe between November 3 and 7. Parts 3 and 4 of Tamil Nadu and South Kerala will receive very heavy rains.
The Western Disturbance is going to affect the Western Himalayan region. Its effect will be most visible on November 4 and 5. Due to this, moderate rain with snowfall may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh on November 5 to 7, and in Uttarakhand on November 6 and 7. At the same time, Punjab will see moderate rains on November 5 to 7. Heavy rain and snowfall are going to occur in the Kashmir Valley on November 6. Due to this, there is a possibility of a further increase in the cold in the hilly areas.
Delhi's air quality in the severe category
On the other hand, Delhi's air quality remained in the 'severe' category on Thursday as well. This information was given in the data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Meteorologists had forecast an improvement in the air quality on Wednesday due to relatively strong winds, but Delhi's overall air quality index (AQI) stood at 426 at 9:10 am. An AQI greater than 400 is considered "severe" and can adversely affect the health of healthy people and can seriously affect those who are already ill.
