New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) Human Resource Development Minister Smriti irani Tuesday directed the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to compile a book on martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom.
"NCERT should compile a book in consultation with the ministry of defence on the persons who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom of our nation. The book could be named 'Veergatha' (bravery tale)," said Irani, according to an official statement.
She also said in the statement that special emphasis may be given to women achievers and freedom fighters in the book.
