At around 5.44 minutes, the tanker took a U-turn in front of Delhi Public School. During this, a truck going from Jaipur to Ajmer collided with it.
18 tons of gas leaked
GAIL India Limited's DGM (Fire and Safety) Sushant Kumar Singh said that due to the collision, 5 nozzles of the tanker broke, and 18 tons (180 quintals) of gas leaked. This caused such a huge explosion that the whole area turned into a ball of fire. About 200 meters away from the tanker where the blast took place, another tanker filled with LPG was also about 200 meters away. Thankfully, it did not catch fire.
