Roy's lawyer said that Sanjay had been framed. Evidence has been created to implicate him. The lawyer claimed that since she has been appointed to fight the case on behalf of the accused Roy, she has been able to meet him only twice. The first time was for 15 minutes and the second time for 10 minutes. He said that we would fight our case based on the documents presented in the court by the prosecution lawyers. He said that the accused maintained his innocence even during the polygraph test.
The lawyer of the accused Sanjay Roy also said that Roy had gone to the floor of the seminar hall at RG Kar Medical College to find out the health condition of his friend's father. He had gone to the pulmonary department. His friend's father had undergone an operation here. During this time, he saw the doctor lying in the seminar hall.
Let us tell you that the body of the doctor was found on 9th August in the government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, which had marks of serious injuries. Sanjay Roy was arrested the next day in connection with this incident. The Calcutta High Court handed over the investigation of this case to the CBI on 13th August.
