For Bakrid, tourists were given free entry to the Taj Mahal from 7 am to 10 am, which was availed by hundreds of people. However, an additional ticket of Rs 200 was applicable to go up to the main mausoleum. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) made tight security and law and order arrangements so that tourists and Namazis are not inconvenienced.
Namaz was offered at the Taj Mahal at 8 am on Bakrid. Namaz was also offered at Fatehpuri Mosque located at the western gate and Sandali Mosque located at the eastern gate. There was a crowd of people here too.
