All the parties have geared up for the Lok Sabha elections. There is a tough competition between BJP and Congress during the elections. All the parties are fielding their respective candidates. Meanwhile, today BJP has released its 12th list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. This list includes names of candidates from Maharashtra, Punjab, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP on Tuesday announced seven more candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, including fielding Udayanraje Bhosale, a descendant of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji, from Satara in Maharashtra.
The ruling party removed Union minister Som Prakash from Hoshiarpur in Punjab but decided to field his wife Anita Som Prakash to retain the support of the influential local leader.
At the same time, former IAS officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu has been fielded from Bathinda, who comes from an influential political family associated with the Akali Dal for a long time.
In Uttar Pradesh, the party has removed its sitting MPs and fielded Vishwadeep Singh from Firozabad and Shashank Mani Tripathi from Deoria.
In this, the name of Abhijit Das from Diamond Harbor in West Bengal has been mentioned.
With the new list, the party has declared the names of its candidates for about 430 seats for the elections for 543 seats starting from April 19.
The party also released its second list of 21 candidates for the Odisha Assembly elections, in which former minister Dilip Ray has been fielded from Rourkela.
So far, BJP has declared names of 133 candidates for the state elections.
