Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will go to Ayodhya and visit Ramlala. Shinde said this in Nagpur on Tuesday. However, he did not specify the date of the visit.

Let me tell you, before the rebellion in Shiv Sena, all Shiv Sena MLAs including Shinde were stopped by party chief Uddhav Thackeray from going to Ayodhya. This became one of the major reasons for the rebellion in Shiv Sena. A huge temple of Lord Ram is being built in Ayodhya city of Uttar Pradesh. Shinde announced going to Ayodhya while talking to reporters at Nagpur airport. He said that some religious leaders had met him on Monday and invited him to come to Ayodhya and visit Ramlala.

CM Shinde said, 'Ayodhya is a place of worship and prayer. I will go there. In August 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya. Earlier in November 2019, the Supreme Court had cleared the way for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, resolving the dispute pending for decades.

During the rebellion in Shiv Sena, on 22 June 2022, the rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena wrote a letter to the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and made many serious allegations. These MLAs had written that they were stopped from going to Ayodhya. It was said that he was called back to Mumbai via Ayodhya.
