Kolkata, March 4 (IANS) The mobile division of software major Microsoft on Wednesday said that in the coming years, solution-based companies having a hardware portfolio will drive the mobile phone market.
"In the times to come, hardware and software integration will drive the market," Microsoft general manager,sales, Kislay Kumar said here.
Kumar said companies which are making both the software platform and the hardware know the specific requirements to integrate the software to run the phones smoothly.
He said that after the takeover of Nokia by Microsoft, the erstwhile phone major is recovering its market share.
The official, however, refused to give any details about the company's standing in the market and it's performance.
According to the company, smartphone sales in India are estimated to be in the range of 130 to 150 million in 2015 of which budget smartphones would account for 78 percent of the total sales volume.
