Monsoon on track: Monsoon picks up pace, will cover Maharashtra in two days, will get relief from scorching heat soon

In many states of the country, the situation is worse than the heat, the hot air from above is troubling the people a lot. But now there is a relief from this scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has announced that the monsoon is progressing normally. It will cover Maharashtra in the next two days. There will be relief from the heat as soon as the rains start in Central and North India from June 15.

 

IMD senior scientist RK Jenamani said on Thursday that the monsoon has covered parts of the south and the central Arabian Sea, entire Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu between May 31 and June 7. It has engulfed the entire Northeast. Jenamani said there is no delay in the progress of the monsoon. It is likely to reach Maharashtra in the next two days and reach Mumbai in the next two days. We have signs of a strong monsoon.

 

It may rain here

 

In the next two days, there will be strong winds and clouds will start forming. Conditions are favorable for the further advance of the Monsoon into Goa and some more parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu in the next two days. Earlier, IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said, as predicted, rains may start from June 15. At the same time, he said that due to the rains, it would be easier to sow the crops of paddy, maize, cotton, soybean, sugarcane, and groundnut.

 

Most of the agriculture in India is based on the monsoon. The monsoon season receives 70 percent of the entire year's rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, some parts of Assam, Sikkim, South West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh have received good rains. At the same time, there is a possibility of good rain in the areas of North India.

 

Mumbai received light to heavy rain on Thursday, while now the temperature is expected to drop here. Videos shared on social media showed the city receiving heavy rains early in the morning. Traffic was briefly disrupted in some areas due to rain. The India Meteorological Department had predicted that Maharashtra may see a slight drop in temperature in the next four days starting from June 9.

 

Monsoon is approaching Mumbai

 

The Southwest Monsoon, which is giving relief to the country from the heat and quenching the thirst, is slowly progressing. It was stable for the past six days. Right now it is some distance from Konkan. Mumbai received light to heavy rain on Thursday, while now the temperature is expected to drop here. Videos shared on social media showed the city receiving heavy rains early in the morning. Traffic was briefly disrupted in some areas due to rain. The India Meteorological Department had predicted that Maharashtra may see a slight drop in temperature in the next four days starting from June 9. And if its velocity increases, then Madhya Pradesh will submerge some parts of Gujarat.

 

Yellow Alert for Delhi NCR

 

In some areas of Delhi NCR, the mercury is crossing 45 degrees, so the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. This means that you should come out of the house only when it is necessary and if you leave, come out only with the arrangements for protection from the heat.
