PM Modi's Maharashtra visit: Schemes for women and youth launched, foundation of PM Mitra Park also laid

The Prime Minister launched the Acharya Chanakya Kaushal Vikas Kendra Yojana of the Maharashtra Government at a program organized in Wardha. PM Modi launched the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana of the Maharashtra Government to support women-led 'startups'. He also laid the foundation stone of the 1,000-acre 'PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel' (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati.

 

During this, PM Modi also released a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of the completion of one year of the National 'PM Vishwakarma' Scheme at a program organized in Wardha. Earlier, PM Modi visited the exhibition during the National PM Vishwakarma Program and met the beneficiaries of the scheme. During this, he distributed certificates and loans to the beneficiaries of the scheme. The Prime Minister distributed loans under the scheme to 18 beneficiaries under 18 trades.

The foundation stone of 'PM Mitra Park' was laid in Amravati

The release said, PM Mitra Park is an important step towards making India a hub of global textile manufacturing and export. It will help in creating a world-class industrial infrastructure, which will attract large-scale investment, and foreign direct investment (FDI) and promote innovation and employment generation in the sector.

 

Skill development training centers will be set up in colleges.

Under the 'Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center' scheme, skill development training centers will be set up in the famous colleges of the state, where persons aged 15 to 45 years will be trained so that they can become self-reliant and gain access to various employment opportunities. Every year about 1.5 lakh youth will be given free skill development training under this scheme.

 

Women-led start-ups will get help.

Under the 'Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup' scheme, initial help will be given to women-led start-ups in Maharashtra. Under this scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh will be provided and 25 percent of the total provision will be reserved for women from backward castes and economically weaker sections. This scheme will help women-led startups to become self-reliant and independent.
