Six owners of the Indian Premier League franchise have bought all six teams of South Africa's new domestic T20 league. Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed this by stating on Wednesday. The owners of Indian Premier League franchises Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Delhi Capitals have announced South Africa's new domestic T20. All six franchises of the league have been bought.

"After a rigorous process over the past few months, the six franchise owners of the South African T20 league have been confirmed," Cricket South Africa said in its press release.

MS Dhoni can also be a part of the league

Six teams have been bought by the owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises in the new South African T20 league starting in January next year and now there is speculation that players playing in India can also be a part of this league. Huh. Interestingly, Dhoni has been an integral part of CSK since the inception of the IPL. Under his captaincy, CSK won 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021 Indian Premier League titles and the 2010 and 2014 Champions League T20 titles and were runners-up in the 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019 league seasons. Given that Dhoni is crucial for CSK. In such a situation, fans are hoping that Dhoni can play an important role in the Johannesburg franchise owned by Chennai Super Kings.

These IPL owners bought teams

Reliance Industries Limited, which owns the most successful IPL team Mumbai Indians, has bought the league's Newlands franchise. Chennai Super Kings owners bought the Johannesburg franchise, while Delhi Capitals owner JSW Sports acquired Pretoria. The owners of Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals successfully bid for the Durban, Gakberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), and Paarl franchises respectively.
