National Herald Case: Congress will agitate across the country on the day of Sonia Gandhi's appearance in ED, the party will meet again today

The party will launch a nationwide agitation against the central government against the ED's summons to Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the well-known National Herald case. The decision was taken at the party meeting on Wednesday. The ED has summoned the Congress President on July 21, the same day the party will agitate across the country.

 

Official sources said Sonia Gandhi has been asked to appear for questioning at the ED headquarters in Delhi at around 11 am on July 21. The ED had questioned Rahul Gandhi for five days in June. Even at that time, Congress leaders and workers had demonstrated across the country against the ED and the BJP-led central government.

 

Congress has called a big meeting of the party again today i.e. on Thursday. In the meeting, all the general secretaries of the party, in charge of the states, and the PCC chief will consider 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' and other organizational programs of the Congress. Brainstorming will be done.

 

Kharge said - Sonia Gandhi is a lioness

 

The monsoon session of Parliament is starting on July 18, so Congress MPs will protest the policies of the central government on the Parliament premises as well. Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge after Wednesday's meeting said, "Congress President Sonia Gandhi is a lioness, she is not scared of such things. She has faced such things many times. She will go to the ED office and face this government.

 

ED has questioned Rahul, Kharge, and Bansal

 

The ED has earlier questioned senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Kharge, and former Union minister Pawan Bansal in the National Herald case. Rahul Gandhi was questioned several times in June and for several hours. Congress is accusing the Center of vendetta politics in this matter. During the interrogation of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress had launched a fierce agitation. The party had accused the Delhi Police of misbehaving against the leaders by barging into the Congress office in Delhi.

 

Congress to distribute pamphlets in the National Herald case

 

According to Congress sources, the party has also planned to distribute pamphlets among the public in the National Herald case. These pamphlets have been prepared.
