'New mafiveer, one apology files should be made', Congress leader taunts Vivek Agnihotri's apology in court

Vivek Agnihotri, director of The Kashmir Files, apologized in the Delhi High Court on December 6 for his 2018 allegations. On this, now the Congress leader has taunted Vivek.

 

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate termed him as the new apologist in the city and has also advised creating an apology file. Explain that in the year 2018, Vivek Agnihotri alleged that Justice S Muralidhar was biased in granting relief to activist Gautam Navlakha in the Bhima Koregaon violence case. The court had canceled the house arrest and transit remand of Gautam Navlakha, after which Vivek Agnihotri made a controversial tweet on Justice S Murlidhar.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate tweeted without naming Vivek Agnihotri on the lines of the film The Kashmir Files, 'There is a new apologist in town. Hatred Chintu apologized in the Supreme Court, then it came to know that he lied in front of the court that he had deleted the tweet. The deletion was done by Twitter, an apology file should also be made.

 

Vivek Agnihotri issued a written apology

Vivek Agnihotri issued a written apology for his 2018 tweet on December 6, after the Delhi High Court asked his lawyer if he had any difficulty appearing in court in person. His lawyer submitted an affidavit stating that in his affidavit, Vivek has tendered an unconditional apology and also said that he has also deleted the tweet against Justice S Muralidhar. On the other hand, Amicus Curie informed the court that the affidavit issued by Vivek Agnihotri was wrong and he did not delete the tweet but Twitter had removed his tweet.

 

What did Vivek tweet in the year 2018

In 2018, Vivek accused Justice S Muralidhar of bias in granting bail to Gautam Navlakha. He also made several tweets regarding this. Justice Muralidhar was then a judge of the Delhi High Court and is currently the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court. Contempt proceedings were initiated against the director after Vivek's controversial tweet. The director later deleted some of the tweets, but others were blocked.

In recent times, Vivek Agnihotri has been in a lot of discussion about his film The Kashmir Files. During the film festival in Goa, Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid said that The Kashmir Files is an obscene and propaganda film. Following this comment by the Israeli filmmaker, Vivek Agnihotri himself tweeted a warning, writing, 'If any Hindu is targeted in Kashmir after this, you know whose hands are stained with blood. Please save this tweet. '
