Amid the holy month of Ramadan, US President Donald Trump hosted the first Iftar Party at the White House. However, Trump's Iftar Party has been surrounded by controversies. American Muslim MPs are angry with this Iftar party.

 

The invitation was not sent to Muslim MPs.

In fact, American Muslim MPs and community leaders were not invited to the Iftar party, instead foreign ambassadors of Muslim countries were invited to attend the Iftar dinner. Let us tell you that there is a two-decade-old tradition of organizing Iftar party in the White House.

 

President Trump while hosting Iftar dinner at the White House said, "I welcome all of you to the White House Iftar dinner. We are celebrating the holy month of Ramadan in Islam. It is a wonderful month. Ramadan Mubarak to Muslims all over the world. We respect one of the best religions in the world.

Many Muslim civil rights groups protested outside the White House on this issue. Muslim leaders protested against Trump's Iftar party under the name Not Trump's Iftar. A protester said that this is a kind of hypocrisy of Donald Trump. On one hand, he bans the entry of Muslims into the country and on the other hand, he organizes Iftar parties.
