Apart from Raigarh SP, Maharashtra MLA Mahesh Baldi said, "He was in financial distress because of the money. When I met him a month and a half ago, he told me. This incident happened around 4 am, The chief worker there informed me over the phone at around 8 to 8.30 am.
Nitin Desai ji had given work to the local people there. Only then we came to know that he was in financial distress. Apart from this, no other reason for suicide is yet visible".

Art director Nitin Desai did a lot of work in the industry. He designed sets of films like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to Devdas.
