The ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), an ally of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) in Mizoram, will support the no-confidence motion against the Modi government at the Centre. This information has been given by Lok Sabha MP C Lalrosanga.
No-confidence motion against the failure of the Center
Lalrosanga on Thursday said the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) would support the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition against the BJP-led government at the Centre. He said he would vote in favor of the no-confidence motion against the Manipur government and the Centre's failure to deal with ethnic violence in the neighboring state.
Failed to handle the situation of flared-up violence
He said that I will support the no-confidence motion of the opposition. It is not because I support the Congress or want to go against the BJP. Rather, I would support the government to register its protest, especially the state government, that has failed to handle the situation of violence that broke out in Manipur.
the decision was taken in the meeting
MP Lalrosanga said that the Mizo National Front is deeply hurt by the condition of ethnic people in conflict-torn Manipur. This was discussed with party President Zoramthanga, Mizoram Chief Minister, and other leaders and a decision was taken to support the no-confidence motion. Meanwhile, MNF Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalwena, who has always been vocal on the Manipur issue, said he would continue to raise his voice in Parliament against the government's way of handling the situation.
