NZ vs AUS Test: Alex Carey was the hero of Australia's victory, the match turned in one day; Won the series 2-0 by defeating New Zealand

In the second Test match played in the Christchurch Test, the Australian team defeated New Zealand by 3 wickets and won the two-match Test series 2-0. After being all out for 162 runs in the first innings, the Kiwi team scored 372 runs in the second innings and Australia got the target of 279 runs. Australia scored 256 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 94 runs.

 

In response to this, in the second innings, the Kangaroo team was seen lagging behind New Zealand till the previous day i.e. on 10th March, but on 11th March, the Kangaroo team's batsmen Alex Carey and Mitchell March turned the entire match. Alex Carey played an unbeaten inning of 98 runs to give a convincing victory to the Kangaroo team.

 

NZ vs AUS: Australia whitewashes New Zealand 2-0 in the test series

The Australian team (AUS vs NZ) had decided to bowl first after winning the last match of the two-match Test series. In front of the lethal bowling of Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, the entire New Zealand team collapsed for 162 runs in the first innings. Josh took 5 wickets, while Starc took 3 wickets. Tom Latham scored the highest 38 runs for the Kiwi team.

 

In response, the Australian team scored 256 runs in the first innings based on Marnus Labuschagne's inning of 90 runs and took a significant lead of 94 runs. Apart from this, no batsman could score even 30 runs.

 

For New Zealand, Matt Henry bowled lethally and took 7 wickets alone. In response to this, in the second innings, Rachin Ravindra, Tom, and Darrell scored half-centuries and scored 372 runs for the Kiwi team. Australia had a lead of 94 runs and got a target of 279 runs.

Mitchell-Alex became the real hero of Australia's victory

By the 10 March game, the Australian team had lost wickets early while chasing 279 runs. Matt Henry trapped Steve Smith and Ben Sears took a simple catch to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne. The Kangaroo team had scored 74 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. After this, on March 11, two batsmen acted as real heroes for the Kangaroo team. Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey's stormy batting changed the course of the entire match.

 

Mitchell Marsh played a stormy inning of 80 runs in 102 balls with the help of 10 fours and 1 six. Even after Marsh was out, Alex Carey took over the innings and played an unbeaten 98 runs facing 123 balls and the Kangaroo team won the second test by 3 wickets.

 

NZ vs AUS: Kiwi team could not end 31-year drought against Australia

The New Zealand team could not end its 31-year drought in Test cricket at home against Australia. New Zealand had not been able to beat Australia at home in the last 11 matches since 1993 and now this was the 12th match where the Kiwis faced disappointment.
