The race for the Orange Cap in IPL 2024 is becoming exciting day by day. The 16th match of IPL 2024 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals on Thursday, in which KKR scored a lot of runs. KKR made the second-highest score of IPL 2024. Shreyas Iyer-led KKR scored 272 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Delhi Capitals team was all out for 166 runs in 17.2 overs.

 

Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen undoubtedly thrashed the bowlers in Visakhapatnam, but if we look at the top-5 contenders for the Orange Cap, no batsman has been able to make it. At the same time, two batsmen of Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant and David Warner, have increased the tension of other batsmen by securing their place in the top-5 list of Orange Cap.

Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen has occupied the third position. Klaasen has scored 167 runs in 3 matches with the help of two half-centuries.

 

Rishabh Pant and David Warner of Delhi Capitals have made a strong entry in the top-5. Pant scored a half-century against KKR while Warner returned to the dugout after playing an inning of 18 runs.
