Paatal Lok Season 2 shows many new twists, exploring migrant mysteries and dangerous drug syndicates, while Jaideep Ahlawat was seen reprising his role of Hathiram Chaudhary again. In a new interview, the actor spoke openly about playing his character again and also revealed many mysteries about Season 2.
According to media reports, during an interview, Jaideep Ahlawat said that he did not have to make any special effort to return to the role of Hathiram Chaudhary after a break of four years. Jaideep Ahlawat further said, "By the end of Season 1, Hathiram felt liberated, he did not need to prove himself to his wife, son, or colleagues. He is now more calm than before and has accepted his circumstances."
Jaideep Ahlawat further said, "This is a role that is very close to me and I spent a lot of memorable moments with it, and playing it again was like going back home." Jaideep said about Paatal Lok Season 2, "Many things will come to the fore in Season 2." He also said that a lot of new challenges come and it seems that the experience the character has gained from the old story is now coming in handy.
Set against the backdrop of Nagaland, the trailer shows Hathiram as he fights social evils in search of truth along with his trusted aide Imran Ansari. Produced by Sudip Sharma, Paatal Lok 2 will stream on Amazon Prime Video on January 17.
