A Twitter account linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's website was hacked on Thursday. The hacker, describing himself as 'John Wick', told Hindustan Times that he hacked the PM's account to reveal that his name was being dragged wrongly in another case. He also said to the PM's Twitter handle that he has not hacked Paytm Mall.
A Twitter spokesperson confirmed that the Twitter account of PM Modi's website @narendramodi_in was hacked. Several posts were made after 3 am, asking people to donate to a cryptocurrency wall, which the hacker said was linked to the 'PM National Relief Fund'. These tweets were later removed.

"The hacking has nothing to do with the PM's Twitter handle, but is linked to the website," a Prime Minister office official said on condition of anonymity. The hackers did not answer the question of how they executed the hack. Screenshots from Twitter show that the tweets were done via "narendramodi_tweets_apps". It has been reported that the website narendramodi.in has been broken, not the Twitter account. Hacker said, "They have to increase security and invest in people like us."
