During the program, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of more than 2950 Amrit Sarovar projects. These Amrit Sarovar will be developed in the state at a cumulative cost of about Rs 1150 crore.
The Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to peace and development of the region was the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoS) with six Karbi extremist organizations by the Government of India and the Government of Assam, the PMO said in a statement. The MoU has ushered in a new era of peace in the Northeast. The Prime Minister's address at the 'Shanti, Ekta and Vikas Rally' will boost peace initiatives across the region.
