After Shaitan, Ajay Devgan will soon be seen in the field. He will be seen in the role of a football coach in the film. Recently the trailer of this film was released, seeing which the fans became very excited. The story of the film revolves around Syed Abdul Rahim's tireless efforts to assemble a team of talented youth from the slums and bring Indian football to the global stage.

After the trailer was released, many people on social media compared it with Shahrukh Khan's superhit film Chak De India. However, the film's director Amit Sharma does not agree with this. Responding to comparisons with King Khan's film, the director said that there is no similarity between the two projects.

During a conversation, Amit Sharma opened up on the tendency of people to compare sports-based films due to the common theme of coaches and players. He said that because of sports films, some viewers assume similarities between them even before watching the film.

The director clarified that there is no similarity between the two films except for one ball and 22 players in the field. Amit said that the story is different and the struggle in it is different. This is not even a sports biopic. It narrates the journey of Abdul Rahim. Maidaan is about his emotional journey. Football is just a medium.

Chak De India Shimit was directed by Shimit Amin. In this, Shahrukh Khan played the role of coach of the women's national hockey team. It proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. Amit Sharma further said that the field was very challenging for him. The director revealed that he had wanted to direct a biopic for a long time. Maidaan stars Ajay Devgan, Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in important roles. It is scheduled to release on April 10. The film competes with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan.
