Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Varanasi on Thursday to lay the foundation stone of the new education policy as well as to give a gift to the changing Banaras. In a four-and-a-half-hour tour, PM Modi will inaugurate the Akshaya Patra kitchen, which prepares mid-day meals for the students of government schools.
After this, he will inaugurate 43 projects worth Rs 1774.34 crore and address the public meeting by laying the foundation stone at Sigra Stadium. PM will attend the All India Education Conference of educationists from across the country at the Rudraksha Convention Center as the chief guest. They will leave here late in the evening.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Babatpur airport by a special plane at around 2 pm and will come to the police line by an army helicopter. From here, by road, he will go to the LT College campus located in Orderly Bazar and will inaugurate Akshaya Patra Kitchen. Here he will interact with 20 students and taste the mid-day meal with them.
From here he will come by road to Rudraksha Convention Center in Sigra and attend the inaugural session of the conference of academicians from across the country organized on the new education policy as the chief guest. After this, PM Modi will address the public meeting at Sampurnanand Sports Stadium in Sigra. Before the public meeting, he will lay the foundation stone of 13 projects worth Rs 1220 crore and will inaugurate 30 projects worth Rs 553.76 crore.
Brainstorming on new education policy after PM's guidance
Institutions across the country will present details of the progress of implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in their institutions during the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam at Rudraksha Convention Center on behalf of the Ministry of Education. Panel discussions will be held on nine subjects in the three-day education conference. After the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, brainstorming will be done on implementing the new education policy in educational institutions.
