Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been engaged in 45 hours of meditation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial since Thursday evening, but the opposition has made it an issue. Opposition leaders are seen doing 'Shirshasana' while criticizing the matter. At the same time, BJP did not take any time in terming the opposition leaders as anti-Sana.
The party said that whatever the Prime Minister does, it hurts Congress and INDIA, this is a sign of their frustration. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, when Prime Minister Modi went to meditate in the cave at Kedarnath, the opposition's attitude was the same. In 2014, after the election campaign ended, he went to Pratapgarh (Maharashtra) associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji.
PM Modi was seen in a saffron shirt, shawl, and dhoti
Prime Minister Modi started meditating at Vivekananda Rock Memorial on Thursday evening. On the second day of meditation, on Friday morning, he offered prayers to the Sun, of which BJP posted a short video on X. The party also posted some pictures of the Prime Minister in which he is seen meditating in the Dhyan Mandapam wearing a saffron shirt, shawl, and dhoti.
Incense sticks can be seen burning in front of him. PM Modi also took a round of the Mandapam with a jaap mala in his hands. The pictures of Modi in the meditation pose have been taken at different times, similarly, his video clips are also from different times.
Kharge said this
On this meditation of the Prime Minister, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, 'Politics and religion should never be brought together. Both should be kept separate. A man of one religion can be with you and a man of another religion can be against you. It is wrong to link religious sentiments with elections. He is doing drama by going to Kanyakumari.
He further said that how much money of the country is being wasted by appointing so many police officers? The show you are doing there will only harm the country. If you have faith in God, then do it at your home.'
Sitaram Yechury said- Help and do not fight despite resistance
CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said in a post on X, "Does Modi know about these concluding words of Swami Vivekananda in the last session of the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago on September 27, 1893?" Along with this, he shared a quote from Swami Vivekananda's famous speech.
In which he had said, "If someone dreams of the sole existence of his religion and the destruction of others, then I pity him from the bottom of my heart. I tell him that soon it will be written on the banner of every religion - Help and do not fight despite resistance, inclusion and not destruction, peace and harmony and not differences."
Tamil Nadu Congress President K. Selvaperunthagai took a dig at the video and pictures of the Prime Minister released by the BJP in a post on X and said, "How many angles! How many videographers? Swami Vivekananda is silent."
BJP hits back
In response, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala accused the Congress and the INDIAA of being anti-Sanatan. He said, "What has happened to the Congress and the INDIAA? If the Prime Minister says something, they have a problem. If he goes to Vivekananda Rock Memorial to meditate without saying anything, they still have a problem. This shows the opposition's desperation and anti-Sanatan mentality."
Poonawala said, "These (opposition) people opposed the Ram temple, termed it useless, and said that Lord Ram has no relevance. They used words like Hindu terrorism and said that Sanatan is a disease. Now these people have a problem with a Hindu meditating peacefully and will they issue a fatwa?"
Prime Minister Modi is not violating anything
Responding to the allegations of violating the Model Code of Conduct by meditating, the BJP spokesperson said that Prime Minister Modi is not violating anything. The Prime Minister is not campaigning, he is not saying anything, he is not making any political statement, nor is this a political gathering. Poonawala said, "Today in the age of internet media, everyone has a smartphone, and the cost of data has come down by 90 percent. If someone is making a video, will you stop him?"
Swami Vivekananda had dreamed of a developed India
BJP spokesperson Anil Baluni said that the Prime Minister is meditating at the same place where Swami Vivekananda had dreamt of a developed India. Now Congress and INDIA are upset with this too. After all, why do Congress and INDIA hate Sanatan Dharma, meditation, silent meditation, and worship of a developed India so much? The one whose silence has so much power that the heretics and the forces defaming the country get upset can only be a Rajarshi ascetic. Who has stopped the opposition leaders from meditating, worshipping, or offering namaz?
