PM Modi: PM Modi gets 21st international award; yesterday Mauritius announced to give him the country's highest honor

Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam announced on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be awarded the country's highest honor. He announced that PM Modi will be awarded 'The Grand Commander of the Order of Star and Key of Indian Ocean'. Ramgoolam said that Modi is the fifth foreign national to receive this special honor. PM Modi is the first Indian to receive this prestigious award. This award recognizes his contribution to strengthening relations between India and Mauritius. This is the 21st international award given to Prime Minister Modi by another nation.

PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Mauritius. Ramgoolam made this announcement at a community event, which Modi addressed. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the people of Mauritius for this honor.

 

This is an honor to the historical relations between India and Mauritius: PM Modi.

 

Addressing the program, he said, 'The people and government of Mauritius have decided to give me their highest civilian honor. I accept this decision with great respect. This is not just an honour for me but it is an honour for the historical ties between India and Mauritius.' More than 3500 people were present at the event.
