Bad conditions due to rain in these districts
Senapati district as well as the Heingang, Wangkhei and Khurai assembly constituencies of Imphal East district are the most affected.
At the same time, many have died and many are injured due to continuous rain, floods, and landslides in the northeastern states of Assam, Sikkim, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur.
32 people died in Sikkim
At the same time, tourists stranded in Sikkim are now being actively evacuated with the efforts of police, residents, forest personnel, and the Lachung Hotel Association. It is being told that 32 people have died.
Lachung Hotel Association President Gyatso Lachungpa is leading the evacuation operation at the ground level in collaboration with the local administration.
IAF took charge in Arunachal
Talking about Arunachal Pradesh, the army has now rescued 14 people in this state. The Indian Air Force (IAF) today successfully carried out an important Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation, in which 14 persons stranded in the flooded Bomjir River in the lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh were rescued.
According to the Defense Public Relations Officer of Guwahati, the operation was launched in response to the urgent request of the state administrations of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
People stranded due to severe floods were evacuated to a safe place using IAF's Mi-17 helicopter. Seven people died due to floods on the National Highway in Seppa West Assembly constituency.
