Cancer Hospitals In Assam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of 7 new cancer hospitals during a program at Khanikar Maidan in Dibrugarh in Assam. During this, PM Modi said that cancer patients should not face the battle with death. PM Modi said that today from this historic city, I remember Assamese pride, all the great children here who have contributed to the development of Assam, and respectfully bow down to all of them.

Today 7 new cancer hospitals in Assam have been inaugurated here. There was a time when even a single hospital opened in 7 years, it was considered a great enthusiasm. Today the time has changed, 7 hospitals are opening in a state in a day.

PM Modi said that cancer hospitals in Assam will enhance health care capacity in Northeast as well as South Asia. He said that earlier a huge financial burden used to fall on poor and middle-class families. I give many thanks to Sarbananda Sonowal Ji, Hemanta Ji, and Tata Trust for the steps that have been taken here for the last 5-6 years to remove this problem of the poor and middle class.

PM Modi said that cancer has been a big problem not only in Assam but in the North East. The most affected by this is our poor, middle-class family. For the treatment of cancer, till a few years ago, the patients here had to go to big cities.

PM Modi said that the hospital is with you today, but I do not want the people of Assam to ever go to the hospital. I wish you good health. No one in your family should have to go to the hospital and I will be happy that all the hospitals built by us remain empty.

PM Modi said that if there is a need, then there should be no need to face death due to inconvenience. So we will be ready to serve you. Cancer has been a big problem not only in Assam but also in the North East. The most affected by this is our poor, middle-class family.

Focus on the Saptarishis

PM Modi said that our government has focused a lot on seven things - or the Saptarishis of health.

The first attempt is that there is no chance of illness. That's why our government has given a lot of emphasis on Preventive Healthcare. These yoga and fitness-related programs are going on because of this.

Second, if the disease occurs, then it should be known in the beginning. For this, lakhs of new testing centers are being built across the country.

The third focus- is that people should have better first aid facilities near home. For this primary health, centers are being improved.

Fourth attempt - The poor should get free treatment in the best hospital. For this, under schemes like Ayushman Bharat, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is being given by the Government of India.

Our fifth focus is on minimizing the dependence on big cities for good treatment. For this, our government is making unprecedented investments in health infrastructure.

We have seen that all the good hospitals built after independence were built in big cities. But after 2014 our government is changing this situation.

The seventh focus of our government is the digitization of health services.

The effort of the government is to get rid of long lines for treatment, to get rid of the problems in the name of treatment. For this, one after the other schemes have been implemented.
