BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar has become an attacker on the Trinamool Congress as soon as she gets the new responsibility of the state president in West Bengal. Addressing a gathering on Tuesday, he said that TMC has become a family-owned property under the guise of a political party. In TMC, only relatives are taken care of. Apart from this, he praised the BJP and said that our party is the party that gives important responsibilities to the common people also. I thank those who are trying to save West Bengal from becoming Afghanistan.
Fight against Taliban will continue in Bengal: Majumdar
Majumdar said that if some people think that they will end the party by leaving the BJP, then it will not happen. We have to continue our fight against 'Taliban' in West Bengal, he said. If TMC allows voting using central forces in local body elections, we will show them what the BJP can do.
Big reshuffle in Bengal
Let us tell you that the BJP made a big reshuffle in West Bengal on Monday. The party appointed state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh as national vice-president with immediate effect while replacing Sukanta Majumdar as Bengal BJP chief. Apart from this, Baby Rani Maurya has been appointed as the National Vice President of BJP. He had resigned as the governor of Uttarakhand earlier this month. After Maurya's resignation, there were speculations that he might be given a new responsibility in the BJP because of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Dilip Ghosh said – I got a new responsibility based on experience
Dilip Ghosh's statement has also come to the fore on becoming the National Vice President of BJP. He said that I have got more experience of politics, so the party has given me more responsibility. I had a meeting with the national president of the party after the election and told him about my duties. My mission is half done now.
When we started five years ago, things were different in Bengal, he said. Nobody used to take the name of BJP but now it has become the main opposition party. Our strength is at par with TMC. I think the party has taken a far-sighted decision by giving such responsibility to Sukanta Babu.
