On Tuesday, Power Corporation bought one crore 60 lakh units of electricity at more than double the price. In general, the power corporation buys electricity at the rate of 7 to 8 rupees per unit. But due to the shortage of coal at this time, the price of electricity is also in the sky. This is the reason that the corporation had to buy electricity available at 7 to 8 per unit at the rate of Rs 15, 84 paise per unit.
Even if the Union Energy Minister is claiming that there is no shortage of coal. But the reality is other than that. In Uttar Pradesh, thermal units of 1715 MW have been kept closed. Not only this, keeping in mind the situation ahead, where there is coal, all the plants are being run at low capacity. Whatever the figures say, but there is a shortage of electricity due to which power cuts are also taking place. Consumers, especially in rural areas, are facing the most power crisis.
Not enough supply as needed
Talking about Harduaganj, Parichha, Obra, Anpara, if there is coal for one day's production, then there is a situation of production for two to two and a half days. However, because of the situation, the center is also engaged in helping. Efforts are being made to increase the supply of coal to Uttar Pradesh. But despite this, there is not enough supply as needed.
