Before the presidential election, the BJP has been alerted by the activities of Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. There was a long discussion between BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah late on Monday night regarding the strategy of victory. According to the report, there was a discussion between the two leaders regarding the Rajya Sabha elections being held before the Presidential elections.

According to media reports, the meeting lasted for 4 hours at the residence of BJP President JP Nadda, in which discussions were held on adding allies to forming an opinion on the candidate. At present, the BJP-led NDA has 48.9% and the opposition has 51.1% votes. In such a situation, if the opposition parties unite, then before 2024, the problems may increase.

Preparations to bring Patnaik and Reddy together

According to sources, the BJP is preparing to bring Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy together in the presidential election. If either of the two supports, then the President of the NDA can be re-elected. According to sources, the responsibility of contacting the Chief Minister of Odisha has been given to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and GVL Narasimha has been given the responsibility of contacting the CM of Andhra Pradesh.

Suspense within BJP on Nitish Kumar

In 2012, while in NDA, Nitish Kumar supported UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee. While in the Grand Alliance in the 2017 elections, Nitish supported NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind. For the last few days, Nitish Kumar is continuously active on many issues including the caste census. According to sources, because of all these reasons, there is suspense within the BJP on coming together with Nitish in the presidential election.
