Puri Rath Yatra 2021: Like last year, this time also Puri Rath Yatra will be completed without devotees, curfew will be imposed

Like last year, this year also the Odisha government has issued a ban on the world-famous Mahaprabhu Jagannath Ji to be held in Jagannath Dham Puri. Apart from Puri, Mahaprabhu's Rath Yatra will not be taken out at any other place in the state. Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena has given this information on Thursday. Keeping in mind the Corona situation, the government has taken this decision keeping in mind the safety of the common people.

 

Devotees will not be allowed to participate in the Rath Yatra. Only servants will be employed in the Rath Yatra. A rule has been made for these servants. Only those servants who have taken two doses of vaccine or who have RTPCR report 48 hours before the Rath Yatra will be allowed to participate in the Rath Yatra. The Special Relief Commissioner has said that like last year, this year also a Rath Yatra will be taken out in Puri amid restrictions. The Special Relief Commissioner has said that like last year, this year also curfew will be imposed in Puri in Rath Yatra. Bus and train movement to Puri will be stopped.

 

 

 

Rituals will be done in the temple premises

 

The Special Relief Commissioner has said that Rath Yatra will not be taken out in all other temples in the state, but permission has been given to carry out the rituals. Rituals can be carried out in the temple premises. However, there will be no activity outside the temple. The Special Relief Commissioner has said that in the same way, the responsibility of live telecast of Puri Rath Yatra will be with the Information and Public Relations Department of the state government. He has said that other channels will be able to take feed from the Information and Public Relations Department. They do not need to arrange for live broadcasts themselves. Similarly, arrangements will be made for the picture of Rath Yatra after discussing with the district administration. It is worth mentioning here that the world-famous Rath Yatra of Mahaprabhu Jagannath is on 12th July.

 

the second wave of the corona is going on

 

It is worth mentioning here that at the time of Rath Yatra last year, the first wave of the corona was going on in the state and at present, the second wave is going on. The number of daily infections has come down significantly in the last few days, but the situation has not become natural. Even now the daily infection is more than 6 thousand. Third-wave third phase lockdown has been imposed in the state which is till June 17. The situation is expected to improve further in the coming weeks. Seeing the situation, the government will decide whether the lockdown will remain or will be removed after the 17th.
