Ajit Pawar: 'I respect all officers...', said Ajit Pawar after the video of reprimanding a female IPS officer went viral

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has posted on social media regarding the incident. A video of which is going viral on social media, in which he is seen reprimanding a female IPS officer on a video call. After this video surfaced, he has come under the target of opposition parties.

He wrote in the post on Twitter, 'My attention has been drawn to some videos related to my conversation with police officers in Solapur. I want to clearly state that my intention was not to interfere with law enforcement, but to ensure that the situation at the ground level remains calm and does not deteriorate further. I have great respect for our police force and its officers, including women officers who serve with distinction and courage, and I put the rule of law above everything else. I am firmly committed to transparent governance and to ensuring that every illegal activity, including sand mining, is dealt with strictly according to the law.'
