Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Kolhapur in Maharashtra on Saturday. In Kolhapur, Rahul Gandhi unveiled the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. After this, in his address, Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized the BJP for the collapse of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Malvan. He said that 'there is no use in bowing before Shivaji Maharaj after scaring people and destroying the Constitution, and institutions. If there were no people like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Shahu Maharaj, there would have been no Constitution.' Rahul Gandhi said 'The Indian Constitution is a manifestation of the thoughts of Shivaji Maharaj. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's message to the world was that the country belongs to everyone.'

 

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was warmly welcomed by the party leaders on his arrival at Kolhapur airport. First of all, he went to the Rajarshi Shahu Samadhi Sthal in the morning. After this, he unveiled the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji built at Bhagwa Chowk in Bawada and attended the Constitution Samman program. More than a thousand invited people attended this meeting, and representatives of all religions as well as various NGOs also participated in it.

 

The campaign for the assembly elections in Haryana has ended. Voting will be held on 90 seats in Haryana today. After Haryana, Rahul Gandhi has now started preparations for Mission Maharashtra. Assembly elections are also to be held in Maharashtra later this year. It is believed that the election campaign of Congress will also start with Rahul Gandhi's Maharashtra tour.
