NIA raids on 76 locations
The accused arrested by the NIA are Lucky Khokhar, Lakhveer Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder, and Hari Om. Let us know that the NIA raided 76 locations in 8 states on Tuesday. The agency took action in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
Weapons and cash recovered
It was the fifth raid of the NIA after registering three FIRs in the first week of September. The agency has recovered a large number of digital equipment, cartridges, nine pistols, and rifles as well as 2.3 crore cash during this period. The NIA had decided to raid based on the interrogation of gangsters in jails and earlier evidence.
Hawala operator on target
The NIA on Tuesday targeted hawala operators who supplied arms and helping arms to gangsters during the raid. Lakhbir Singh of Muktsar in Punjab, along with the King of Abohar, many kabaddi players were also targeted. According to the NIA, these people were associated with the conspiracy to assassinate international kabaddi player Sandeep Nagpal Ambia and Maharashtra builder Sanjay Biyani. Last year, both of them were murdered in Punjab. A senior official said that the conspiracy to kill these two was hatched by gangsters in several jails.
