By winning more than 54 percent votes in Delhi, the BJP has once again proved that it has a strong support base in the capital. This election result will also decide the future politics of Delhi because AAP and Congress are currently struggling with internal strife.

At the same time, defeating the alliance of these two parties has boosted the morale of BJP workers. The effect of this changed political environment will also be seen in the Delhi Assembly elections to be held in the next few months.

BJP got 54.35 percent votes in Delhi

In this Lok Sabha election, BJP got 54.35 percent votes in Delhi, which is about two and a half percent less than the last election.

Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of late former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj from New Delhi, businessman leader Praveen Khandelwal from Chandni Chowk, and BJP candidate Harsh Malhotra from East Delhi won by less than one lakh votes. Other candidates won the election by a big margin.

BJP got 56.85 percent votes in 2019 elections

Bansuri Swaraj from New Delhi defeated AAP candidate Somnath Bharti by the lowest margin of 78,370 votes in Delhi and Yogendra Chandolia from North West Delhi defeated Congress candidate Udit Raj by the highest margin of 2 lakh 90 thousand 849 votes. BJP got 56.85 percent votes in the 2019 elections. Then Congress and AAP were contesting separately.

Manoj Tiwari defeated Sheila Dixit

At that time, BJP had won two Lok Sabha seats by more than five and a half lakh votes. In that election, BJP candidate from North East Delhi Manoj Tiwari defeated former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit by more than three lakh 66 thousand votes.

This time Tiwari scored a hat-trick of victory by defeating Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar by one lakh 38 thousand 778 votes. Manoj Tiwari was the only MP this time, whom the party had given a ticket again in Delhi.
