Hyderabad, March 6 (IANS) The Indian Railways have launched a web portal and a mobile application for customers to lodge their complaints and make suggestions.
The mobile app based on android/windows platform can be freely downloaded. One can also track the status of the complaints registered.
Complaint Management System (COMS) portal, www.coms.indianrailways.gov.in., hosts both mobile app and web based complaints and suggestions.
People can also register complaints through SMS on number +91-9717630982. A link to the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) will also be provided.
The mobile application, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store, has been implemented using Android 2.3.3 (and above) platform and would be made available for Windows Phone 8.1 and above.
A fast and user friendly structured interface has been provided to register complaints on mobile phones, the railways said in a statement.
A unique ID number will be provided to the complainants who can use it to track the progress of their complaints. The complaint will be auto assigned to the concerned railway functionary for redressal.
The customer complaint portal will also be available in Hindi and other regional languages.
