Another fan speculated whether this meeting was related to Salman's upcoming film Tiger 3 or Vishnuvardhan and Karan. It was for a music collaboration with Johar in his untitled film.

This dispute happened between the two during an award function when Salman asked Arijit whether you were sleeping and Arijit retorted and replied, you guys made me sleep. This style of Arijit displeased Salman and that too to such an extent that he removed Arijit's song from his film 'Sultan'.
