New Delhi, Jan 3 (IANS) It was a rainy Saturday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 13.8 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the season's average.
The Met Office forecast very light rain throughout Saturday.
"Thunderstorm could occur in some areas in the evening and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The city has received seven mm of rainfall since Friday. Visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 500 metres and humidity was at 98 percent.
According to the Northern Railway, around 41 trains were running late while four were rescheduled and two cancelled due to the fog.
Friday's maximum temperature was 16 degrees Celsius, five notches below the season's average and the minimum temperature settled at 10.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
