Relaxation in corona restrictions in Delhi, offices will work with 100% capacity, some relief in night curfew too

Because of the weakening of the third wave of Corona, a decision has been taken to relax the restrictions in Delhi. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in an important meeting on Friday has decided to reopen gyms, schools, colleges, and coaching institutes in Delhi. Although the night curfew will continue, for now, its duration has been reduced by one hour. Now there will be a night curfew from 11 am to 5 am instead of 10 pm. Along with this, private offices will also be opened with 100 percent capacity. At the same time, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has justified the decision of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority to open schools.

 

DDMA has decided that institutions of higher education in Delhi will open under SOPs and COVID appropriate behavior will have to be strictly followed. At the same time, the schools of class 9th-12th will reopen in a phased manner from February 7. Teachers who have not been vaccinated will not be allowed. DDMA has also been permitted to work in offices in Delhi with 100% staff. Along with this, single drivers in cars will be exempted from the mask mandate.

 

Let us inform that in the meeting held last week, it was also decided to end the weekend curfew, along with this cinema halls, bars and restaurants have also opened with 50 percent attendance.

 

Significantly, the infection rate of corona in the capital Delhi has come down from 4.73 percent to 4.3 percent, so the infection rate is less than five percent for two consecutive days. Therefore, the cases of corona have also come down to less than three thousand. On Thursday, 2,668 new cases of the corona were reported. A day before this, there were 3,028 cases of the corona. 3,895 patients have been cured in 24 hours. Due to this, the number of active patients has also come down to less than 14 thousand. At the same time, 13 patients died of corona in 24 hours, which is the lowest during 24 days. Earlier on January 10, 17 patients had died. After this, the deaths of patients from corona had increased. On January 13, Delhi had the highest number of 28,867 cases of the corona, with 94,160 active patients on that day. Since then, the number of active patients has come down by 85.53 percent. 429 patients are on oxygen support in hospitals: At present, 1,234 patients of corona are admitted in hospitals, out of which 429 patients are on oxygen support. Of these, 102 patients are on ventilator support.
