Young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the vice-captain for the upcoming T20I series against West Indies. BCCI has given this information. Pant has been given this responsibility after KL Rahul was ruled out of the series due to injury. He is in the race to succeed Virat Kohli as India's new Test captain along with Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Jasprit Bumrah. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the T20I series due to a hamstring strain and Kuldeep Yadav has been included in the squad.
